Sally Smith Legg is a versatile artist who explores a wide range of subjects. Sally primarily works in oils using bright clean colors to achieve a realistic style of painting. Light dances across the canvas, pulling the viewer into the paintings.
Her passion for exploring new ideas and challenges is expressed through a variety of artistic mediums including painting, ceramics, sculpture, metalworks, graphics, needlework, interior design, and gardening.
For ten years, Sally enjoyed a career in interior design, where she was recognized in multiple magazines for her creative approach to design. Her career started with commercial interiors for clients including Hospital Corporation of America, Vanderbilt University, and Kindercare corporate offices, where Sally worked to design unique and uplifting interiors. Realizing that artwork is a major contributor to personalizing offices and homes, Sally switched her attention from interior design to creating artwork.
Sally lives in Birmingham, Alabama, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the state she has called home her entire life.
